BNBU co-hosts DSFD 2025 conference in Harbin, advancing global research in fluid simulation
From 3 to 6 July 2025, the 34th International Conference on Discrete Simulation of Fluid Dynamics (DSFD 2025) was successfully held and concluded in Harbin, China. The event was jointly organised by Harbin Engineering University and Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU).

Over 130 faculty members and students gathered at the Performance Theatre on April 8, 2025 to attend a lecture by renowned historian Professor Dali Yao from Fudan University. The event was the second session of the “Beyond Boundaries” Teaching and Learning Series and the 126th session of the "Contemporary World and China" Lecture Series. The lecture, titled “The Origins of Chinese Civilization and the Formation of China: New Perspectives on Chinese History,” was jointly organized by the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS).

UIC President Prof Tang Tao elected TWAS Fellow
The World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries (TWAS) recently elected 47 new Fellows, hailing from 24 countries and regions worldwide, six of whom are from the Chinese mainland institutions. Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and UIC President Prof Tang Tao was the only Chinese person in the field of Mathematical Sciences elected in 2023.
