Prof. Jianhui Li

Jianhui Li holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Peking University and is a second-level professor and doctoral advisor at Beijing Normal University. He has previously served as the Vice Dean of the School of Philosophy at Beijing Normal University and as the Deputy Director of the Graduate School's Training Department. He is also a distinguished professor at the Life Culture Research Institute of Guangdong Medical University, the Chair of the Biological Philosophy Committee of the Chinese Society for Dialectics of Nature, and the Vice President of the Beijing Society for the History of Science and Sociology of Science. He is an expert for the Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and the Ministry of Education.

Professor Li's main areas of teaching and research include philosophy of science, ethics of technology, philosophy of cognition and mind, and the history of scientific thought in both Chinese and Western traditions. He has been invited as a visiting scholar or honorary lecturer at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Oxford, the Joseph Needham Research Institute in Cambridge, and Utrecht University in the Netherlands. He is the principal investigator for major and key projects funded by the National Social Science Fund of China and the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Research Base. His research achievements have earned him the Ministry of Education's Award for Outstanding Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences in Higher Education and the Beijing Award for Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences.
